They say a person's life matters more than anything else to them... This wasn't the case with Rosette Christopher, who was willing to give up her own life for the sake of salvation. Accompanying her, was her partner, Chrno. However, their pact was quite extraodinary. Rosette was a sister, one who strongly believed in God, while Chrno was a demon. A creature feared by all humans. But despite this, they had a remarkable bond, for you see, Chrno was different to his comrades. He disliked his own kind, while struggling to achieve his one and only goal. And that was to gain freedom. You see, demons were thought of as monsters who sought strength, for their thirst of power. Rosette & Chrno were exorcists, assigned to annihilate demons who caused trouble for the towns' people. Their missions were successful, untill the main villain arrived. This was where things started to become complicated. Aion, was a demon, who opposed heaven and tried to break it's border with Earth, so that the two places would be one. Long ago, he commited a terrible sin, when he killed the parents of a young girl, and took her older sister away from her. That girl grew up to become a Jewl summoner, named Satella, who was introduced during the series. Similarly, he also took away Rosette's younger brother, Joshua, when she was young. Shortly after Aion's arrival, he started to cause havoc by sending his followers to kidnap Rosette. The main purpose behind his pursuit was because he required her to complete his objective. But the most seen key here was Rosette and Chrno's romance.

Chrno Crusade didn't have a joyous ending. It was quite sad, as the three leading characters died, after the battle with Aion. That was the point where everything became depressing, but the series was still enjoyable and memorable. I rate this series 5/5 stars.
